Tiger Update
Information/Updates about Pickerington High School Central
Message from Mr. Lanier
This can be a difficult time of year for students as we are working our way through the winter months. It has been a long haul since we returned in January for 2nd semester. The thing that will separate the successful from the unsuccessful, however, is the focus that one has on finishing the race. We all face difficulties and challenges and our students are not immune from them as well. There will be times during the race where we are tired; we're not feeling it; we want to give up because it is too hard and we don't think we can do it. That is the time when we need to step up and help one another. Pick each other up and help one another across the finish line. Our teachers and staff will do this at school; we ask that you do this at home as well. When our students are supported completely, they will keep going regardless of the difficulty of the task and the hesitancy they may feel that they can be successful. We all have had experience where we doubted we could do something AND we all have the experience of the feeling of pride that comes with breaking through a barrier and proving to ourselves that we were stronger than we thought we were in the moment.
Tiger Up,
Mr. Lanier

Counselor Corner
Scheduling for 2023-2024
School Counselors are currently meeting with students individually to verify the classes students request are correct. Students who are not currently enrolled in a social studies class, will meet with their counselor on March 7th (or before).
These students will be sent a pass to attend the meeting. Parents should log into their student’s Infinite Campus account to double check their course selections. The master schedule for next school year will be created based on these requests so students and parents need to be sure of their selections.

Summer Experiences!
Summer is a great time for students to discover career interests, college opportunities or learn new skills. Each spring we create a list of summer opportunities for our students and encourage them to participate! Whether it be a summer camp, part time job, internship, job shadowing, or summer classes or college campus opportunities, it will be a great learning experience and will look pretty good on a college or job resume as well! We will keep adding to this list as we become aware of more summer events.Attention Seniors!
Many colleges require that you have your mid-year transcript sent. Please make sure to check the application requirements and make the request for your mid year transcript in Naviance. The directions are below.
Please remember that all Seniors must request transcripts at least 10 days prior to the application deadline! Here are the directions to request transcripts. Please make sure to add the college to “Colleges I’m applying to” AND click the box that says “Request Transcript”. Parents should bookmark this hub as a resource for planning for post-secondary exploration and opportunities as well as graduation information.

Central Theater Presents The Addams Family this Spring
Pickerington Central is fortunate to be included in the CAPA Marquee Awards for the fourth year in a row. Through this educational celebration, students have the ability to earn nominations for their show, their roles, their backstage excellence and more! Nothing could be more helpful to their success than support from their Pickerington Community.
As a non-profit performing arts organization, donations and ticket sales are the primary and only fiscal backing that Pickerington Central Theatre uses to maintain their mission of performing top notch shows with an emphasis on providing entertainment for the Pickerington Community and providing priceless educational and performance experiences for Central students.
The Pickerington Central Theatre Department is student run and student supported. This means that our students build, perform in, and run our shows. This provides a wonderful education for both those on stage, and those that help with crew, costumes, PR marketing, and technology. If you feel moved to donate, please do so Here.
