Last Day of School

The last day of school is Tuesday May 24th. Students will be dismissed at 11:30am. Lunch will NOT be served.

Language Enrichment Survey

If the opportunity presents in the future for McClure students to receive enrichment instruction in a foreign language, please complete the interest survey below to indicate your preference of foreign language.


Extra Yearbooks

Students who purchased a yearbook will receive their copy today. There are a few extra yearbook available for purchase. Call our office at 785.438.4300 to purchase one of these extra copies.

In order to receive your first choice of school, register early for the 2022-2023 school year as classes are filling up! Online registration, a school supply list, and the 2022-2023 academic calendar are now available at Click HERE to begin the registration process.

PTO Officers Needed for 22-23!

The following PTO positions are still needing to be filled:

  • Fundraiser Coordinator
  • Fundraiser Committee Member
  • Carnival Coordinator
  • Carnival Committee Member
  • District Community Advisory Council (DCAC) Representative

Complete the Google Form below if you are interested in serving in one of these PTO positions for the 2022-2023 school year. These positions will be voted on during the first PTO meeting of 22-23.

TPS Summer Enrichment Camp PK-12

KAPP Preschool

KAPP Summer Application KAPP (Kindergarten Academic Preparation Program) "Power UP" is a six-week summer program that is offered to excite and encourage students and families to prepare for kindergarten while learning new skills required of in-coming kindergarteners!

YWCA KAPP “PowerUP” summer kindergarten academic prep program is offered daily beginning June 13th and ends on July 22th, 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.


Summer Music Program

Is your scholar an aspiring musician? 4th grade through 8th grade students in band, choir, or orchestra are encouraged to join our FREE Summer Music Program! Learn more and register to attend at

Children's Clothing Donations Needed for Topeka Public Schools Community Cupboard

The Topeka Public Schools Community Cupboard is now accepting donations of new or gently used children's size clothing.

All donations go to support students and families in the Topeka Public Schools community. The Community Cupboard is open to all students and families in the district in need of food, clothing, or other items.

Donations can be dropped off at the main office at Quinton Heights Education Center (2331 SW Topeka Blvd) from 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM Monday through Friday.

Topeka Public Schools Summer Meal Program Begins Serving on June 2

Throughout the summer months, our Topeka Public Schools Food Service staff members are dedicated to serving students and families! The 2022 Summer Meal Program kicks off on Thursday, June 2.

Any child in Shawnee County under the age of 18 can receive breakfast, lunch, and snacks at locations across the city. These meals are served free of charge Monday through Friday and the child does not need to be present for a parent to pick up the meals.

Low-Cost Sports Physicals: The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus is offering convenient, low-cost sports physicals for all middle school and high school athletes. Physicals are

performed by our Sports Medicine team led by Dr. Peter Loo. No appointment is necessary. Parent/guardian does not have to be present, but must complete and sign required forms. This exam meets the annual state requirement. For more information click here.
