November 2018: A Focus on EDU Mini-Grants
Opp #1: A mini-grant for your classroom kindness project
Teaching Tolerance offers mini-grant funds for schools and classrooms with projects related to building empathy and kindness in students. Do you love the kindness poster above? Teaching Tolerance provides free downloadable One World posters (like the one above) HERE!
Opp #2: The American Battlefield Trust's Field Trip Fund
My team wrote this mini-grant last year and we were awarded enough funding to take 80 students on a field trip to John Brown Farm State Historic Site in Lake Placid, New York. Funding is provided to K12 teachers who are planning field trips to Civil War, War of 1812, or Revolutionary War battlefields or related historic sites. More information available HERE!
Opp #3: Do you have an Aldi in your community? If so...
Check out the Aldi Smart Kids mini-grant program and see if your school or classroom projects are a match with their charitable giving guidelines.
