Chapel Families,
If you have not done so already, please vote for Chapel District Elementary School in Best of the Best Chesapeake's Best Public School category (under "Kids and Education"). Our team worked really hard for our 2021 recognition and would like to uphold this prestigious designation! We thank our Chapel community for your help!
Our PTO Panera Bread Spirit Night is this Monday, September 19th from 5-9 p.m. Please join us and support CDES! Be sure to mention CDES and show the paper or electronic flyer.
Also be sure to mark your calendars for PTO's Fall Carnival on 10/8 from 12-3 p.m. Our PTO is asking for additional help the day of the event (see sign up below), baked goods for the cake wheel, or for families to send in their class basked themed item. Our PTO's Adopt-a-Classroom program is also up and running, so please contact our PTO if you or your business would like to adopt a classroom! We also have a brand new fundraiser currently taking place- Pura Vida CDES bracelets! See more info in the PTO section!

A reminder for any transportation changes that a note must be written and as a courtesy, no changes should be made after 3 p.m. These notes then go to Ms. Christy in the front office, who then writes a car rider or bus rider pass for students.
Please be sure to send a note or email when your child is out or sick or absent. Doctor's notes are preferred, but each student is allowed 5 parent (sick) notes per semester (Q1 & Q2). Poor attendance negatively impacts your child's progress academically at school.

- If you have not yet completed a Free and Reduced Meals Form, please do so! (Forms in English and Spanish below)- Free YMCA membership for those who qualify!
- As soon as applications are processed by the TCPS Finance office and once a family receives a letter from TCPS stating they have qualified for free or reduced meals, just take the letter to the YMCA as proof to sign your child(ren) up for a free membership
