This full day session provides a clear outline along with practical examples in all subjects based on Metacognitive approaches to teaching and learning. Learning how to learn is widely regarded as a low-cost high-impact intervention which can benefit all pupils.
The course will be delivered by Chris Williams who worked alongside teams of primary and secondary teachers over the last 9 months developing transferable techniques which make an immediate and sustained impact on learning outcomes. All methods and approaches can be used in all subjects and at all levels. There is a wealth of content on this world-class training course which makes learning paramount and is built on evidence-based approaches at its foundations.

This course features the use of iPad minis (provided on the day, no experience necessary!) although ideas, methods and activities can be carried out on other devices. All activities require a minimum of 1 mobile device and are not reliant on extensive whole-school investment in technology.

Chris has background is in Special Education and has Masters level qualifications in Education and Child Development. He is dedicated to improving outcomes for all pupils.
He continues to develop accessible and high-impact strategies which can be easily used by all school staff to make an immediate on learning. He is a leading specialist in creative teaching and curriculum development.
Chris is an international presenter on creative teaching with technology and has been presenting his Rapid Progress For *Boys' Writing (*Girls' Too) at sold out venues in both the UK and the US. He has presented his methods across the UK for the National Literacy Trust, The National Association of Headteachers, Westminster Education Forum, in the USA for Ed Tech Teacher in Boston and Atlanta and Children In Scotland.
