Northbrook Summer Reading-READO
Rising sixth grade students are required to do some reading over the summer. In the report card envelope you will find a READO sheet. Students are to mark a line horizontally, vertically, or diagonally as they complete the activities listed. We just found out about a way to access digital books for free this summer that should help to make this easier. Here are the specifics:
Through a partnership between Get Georgia Reading – Campaign for Grade-Level Reading and myON, all educators, librarians, students and parents in Georgia can have free access to thousands of enhanced digital books from myON through August 31st.
During the summer, all readers in each county will share a single account that provides them with unlimited 24x7 access to myON's enhanced digital books, without the personalization elements.
Getting Started is Quick and Easy!
1. Go to: www.myON.com
2. Click the Log In Now button and enter the following information:
3. School Name: Get Georgia Reading - (Begin typing the word Get and select from the drop-down menu.)
User Name: gwinnettcounty
Password: read
4. Click on the "Sign In" button, select a book and start reading!
Enjoy anywhere, anytime access!
Read anytime -- days, evenings, weekends, holidays and school breaks.
Read online using any Internet-enabled device, and read offline using free mobile apps for Kindle Fire HD, Android Devices, iPads and Google Chrome.
