Youngsville Classical Conversations
Weekly Update
Get Well soon!!
Hi CC families! We missed the Kelley and Woodhouse family on Monday! Our prayer is that everyone can be back together for week 3 of CC!
I will send out weekly updates every Tuesday and hopefully this colorful and fun format will make the emails a joy to read! I should have the same basic sections each week, so you can quickly scan and get the most important info.
**Important reminder!!**
***Parents using the Nursery/Toddler rooms***Please be sure to bring $5.00/per child with you to pay the childcare person on Mondays! I know for me it is so easy to forget with the million other things to pack and bring on CC day. Make yourself a note or reminder alarm on your phone if you have to. For me, I pay her $30 for the first 6 weeks of CC. That way I'm already paid up and less likely that I will forget. Ill just need to remember to do it again the NEXT 6 weeks! Just an idea...find a plan that will work best for you.
For Monday- week 3

Suggested preparation for presentation time:
-Tuesday & Wednesday brainstorm topics and choose material.
-Thursday prepare notes, props etc.
-Friday/Saturday show off for Dad or Grandma!
-Saturday final polishing and practice.
Don't forget to bring:

-Class will dismiss at 12:00. At that time a parent will gather their child from class (unless another arrangement has been made with the tutor. ex: child will go with another mom etc), pick up younger siblings and head to the fellowship hall for lunch.
Tutor Newsletters:
-If you haven't received a newsletter from your child's tutor by Wednesday please check your spam or junk folder. If it's not in any of those locations either reach out to the tutor or me. Each of you have our phone numbers and email so don't be shy to contact us.
Scripture Passage during opening assembly
This year during Cycle 1 for our Scripture memory work we are learning Exodus 20:1-17 (The Ten Commandments) KJV. Located on page 133 in the Foundations Guide. During this portion of opening assembly we will learn this passage through song and hand motions. I will play a DVD of Exodus from MegaVerses where we can follow along with the hand motions. This passage of scripture is so beautiful put to song! Even the motions are beautiful so I'm excited for us to learn it together!
WEEK 3: WE'LL LEARN VERSE 4 AND REVIEW VERSES 1-3!
(1)And God spake all these words, saying,
(2) I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage

(4) Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
