FEBRUARY 23 NEWSLETTER SUPPLEMENT
February 24, 2022
There are a couple announcements that arrived too late for yesterday's Newsletter or were inadvertently left out. Our apologies.
The two most immediate announcements are these:
1. Tomorrow, Friday, is an After School Treat day and there is ice cream!
2. Please email Mr. White (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you plan to attend the SAPTO meeting this Monday, February 28. We need to plan for how much food we will need. Email him by tomorrow so we can let the "chefs" know.
And, for Lent: As Mr. White talked about in his Newsletter note yesterday, next Wednesday is Ash Wednesday, the start of Lent. Fr. Dan has set up several activities, both in-person and virtual, to help us to grow closer to God during this time. Below is his note and information on the activities. Email the chair for more information or to register.
From Ash Wednesday on, the 40 days of preparation leading up to Easter is called Lent. Lent is a Middle English word that means “spring.” This season is meant to be a season of spiritual refreshing. I love this season because it invites us to reflect in the direction of our life and if we don’t like where we are heading, we can make a positive change. It’s also an opportunity for us to grow spiritually and as a community. So we have included some activities in this flyer to help us do that this Lent. We invite you to join us in one or more of these activities to help us grow, to help us sink deeper roots in our faith and community, and to help us renew our faith. Happy Lent!
