Suwanee Express
Week of January 27th
It's the last week of January! I hope you all go out for a fancy dinner Friday night and celebrate because you have started off 2020 with a bang. Last week, you wrapped up your mid-year RBES. What trends did you see in your class' learning? How will you accelerate, make shifts, and keep the momentum in your classroom? It's the 3rd quarter...stay strong...we've got this! I believe in each of you! :)
To our amazing support staff, keep the energy flowing and remember everyday you keep our school running. With your support, our teachers are able to focus on teaching and learning. You all are making such a big difference. Never forget that! Speaking of support our cafeteria staff will all be out tomorrow. They have the flu or flu like symptoms. I am praying for a speedy recovery for all of our amazing Suwanee cafe staff. The district will be sending in a support crew to help us as our team recovers. The flu is going around, so make sure to take those healthy precautions. Thank you for your support!
Your Proud Principal,
Mrs. Taylor

This document is a great guide and should be updated throughout the school year. Please go to your students' ELPPs and leave comments for all subject areas. Thank you!

Hello!
What is Readers Rally you ask? Only the Super Bowl of reading! :) It is a county-wide celebration of reading that 97% of all GCPS elementary, middle, and high schools participate in each year. It's a quiz-bowl type competition where teams compete against other schools to vie for the honor of being county champions!
Ms. Duncan, Ms. Ramsey, Ms. Fidero, and Karen Phillips do do a fantastic job of preparing the Suwanee Elementary team to dominate in our division and beyond, but we need your help!
Each school that registers for the Readers Rally event is required to send an adult volunteer. There are many different volunteer positions that need to be filled in order to make such a huge event a success. If you would like more information, please email: gcpsreadersrally@gmail.com!
