Character Dress Up
Halloween falls on a Saturday this year. The students are allowed to dress up as a story book character on Friday. Please let students and families know that if they choose to dress up, students must bring the book with them that their character represents. Also, no blood, gore or masks. Kindergarten will have a story book character parade at 2:30 p.m. Please bring your class out in the hall to support and cheer them on.
Moral Focus
Moral focus assemblies have been going great this year! To keep the momentum moving in the right direction, I would like each of you to have an opportunity to lead a moral focus assembly. You can select any data you want. Please decide on a date and email me.
Feedback
Some of the feedback I have received from the wing surrounds fewer deadlines. I am trying to lessen deadlines where possible, however, some deadlines are firm and are not flexible. For example, the lesson plan deadline for posting to the U-drive is one of those deadlines that is firm. This is because the Special Education team is reliant on you to post your lesson plans in order to modify them and submit them to their Dean. If your lesson plans are not on the U-drive, they cannot complete their task, which in turn results in a professional reminder for them. If you would like to make the deadlines for posting to TKES and posting to the U-drive the same, we can do that to lesson the number of different deadlines. Please let me know if you would like the TKES deadline to change. If I do not hear from anyone, the time stays the same. I appreciate your hard work in meeting deadlines. Some of you have requested extensions based on what is occurring in your life, and that is fine. I will continue to work with each of you as things arise. I would like some more feedback from you. Would you like me to put important dates on your outlook calendar or just in weekly newsletters? I want to be sure you are aware of what is due, however, I know that not everyone is like me and sometimes how I communicate these to you is overwhelming. Thanks in advance for your feedback.
