Standards & Daily Learning Goals
- Post a daily learning goal and reference it at the beginning of the lesson. Tell students what you want them to know, understand, and be able to do before they leave your room that day and how it connects to the standard you're working on.
- Reference the daily learning goal during the lesson. Students need to understand that the activity they are doing is helping them toward mastery of the daily learning goal.
- Reference the daily learning goal at the end of your lesson. Provide a short, formative assessment of the daily learning goal to see where students are in their mastery of the standard you're covering and provide students time to reflect where they are in their learning.
