In Memory of Marian Carter, Paraprofessional and Media Technician
Marian Carter bean her work in the district from August 25, 1975 - June 30, 2006.
Even after retirement, Marian volunteered her time for many years at Main Street School working in the library and tutoring students. Marian was known by the students as the "Book Lady."
Some of her former teachers described her as sincere, honest, earnest, and loyal. She was a great baker who took pains in baking with no sugar. Her energy in the classroom was infectious in a positive way. She was cheerful and inspirational
Marian leaves behind two daughters. Our sympathies go out the family.
Pi Day Celebration 3.14 at Frank Ledesma Elementary
Pi Day is celebrated on March 14th (3/14) around the world. Pi (Greek letter “π”) is the symbol used in mathematics to represent a constant — the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter — which is approximately 3.14159. Pi Day is an annual opportunity for math enthusiasts to recite the infinite digits of Pi, talk to their friends about math, and eat pie.
Thank you to Ms. Shin at Frank Ledesma for organizing and celebrating with students on Pi Day and for students who participated on a very cold morning.
Main Street Middle School also Celebrated Pi Day
March 14, 2022 staff held a PI day activity for all students. This was to provide activities which celebrated PI = 3.14….
