Fall Conferences
Scholastic Book Fair
Our Fall Book Fair is right around the corner. The book fair will offer books only and the hours will be:
Tuesday, October 20 - 7:30am - 4:30pm
Wednesday, October 21 - 7:30am - 7:30pm
Thursday, October 22 - 7:30am - 11:30am
We will be soliciting volunteers to help work/run the book fair. You get to operate a cash register and credit card machine - and it's super easy! Also, your children love to be able to help you "work" the book fair. Volunteer sign-ups will be out soon, however, if you already know when you are available to help, please email Julie Taylor at julie9636@sbcglobal.net and reserve your spot.
Update from the Health Room
Hartland Chamber of Commerce ~ Trick or Treat
The Hartland Chamber of Commerce invites costumed children to join in the 31st annual Halloween Business Trick or Treat in downtown Hartland on Thursday, October 22, 2015 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Parents are requested to participate with their children. The first 1000 costumed children will receive a trick or treat bag with Halloween goodies. The bags will be distributed in front of the Chamber office at 116 W. Capitol Drive. The number of bags is limited so children are asked to bring their own bags as well. All participating businesses will have the official “PARTICIPANT” poster displayed in their window. Children are asked to go ONLY to these participating businesses. This is a Rain or Shine event so dress accordingly!
The Chamber will also be accepting donations for the Holiday Train Food Drive – donations can be dropped at the Chamber office when you receive your bag. Save the Date now for the arrival of the Holiday Train – Friday, December 4, 2015 at approximately 9:00 pm!!!!
Contact the Chamber with questions, 367-7059.
PTO Chicken Dinner & Auction
It's hard to believe our annual Chicken Dinner and Auction is just 5 weeks away - Saturday, November 7th! We hope you have this date already marked on your calendar. Invitations will be mailed next week so watch for it in your mailbox. Money raised from this event will be used toward the purchase of playground equipment and will also assist in providing educational assemblies for our students relating to anti-bullying and drug/alcohol awareness.
While we solicit various community and non-community businesses to provide donations for the auction, we would also greatly welcome donations from families at Stone Bank. Do you own a business or run home party sales? Do you have connections to goods and/or services? Do you have access to tickets to a sporting event, show or other entertainment venue? If you answered yes and want to contribute to the auction items, please reach out to Heather Smith at hsmith0225@gmail.com. This is a great way to advertise and contribute to the school.
We are also in need of volunteers to make/donate a dessert item for the live auction. This is always a highlight of the night and this year we are thrilled to have MARC TARKOWSKI as our auctioneer! You won't want to miss it! If you want to make/donate a dessert item, please reach out to Jessie Henschel at jhench@wi.rr.com.
Thank you in advance to all the parents and community members that help put together the beautiful and amazing classroom baskets. We realize it takes a lot of time and effort to coordinate and create these baskets and owe a lot of our success to you!
Breast Cancer Awareness Week
During the week of October 12th we will be selling personalized buttons for $1.00. The buttons will be sold during the lunch hour in honor of somebody you may know who is fighting this disease. You can also purchase a button just because you want to support the cause.
Thursday, October 15th will be PINK day. Please wear pink to support breast cancer awareness.
