Parent Survey for 2019-20
Thank you to all who have responded to the District Parent Survey! If you have not yet, please take a few minutes to complete the survey.
So far we have had 357 responses to the district survey that was sent out during Parent/Teacher Conferences in October. Last year our total responses district-wide were 1,462. Right now we are at 1,240.
We value and appreciate your feedback as it helps us improve as a school district.
Thank you!
Day of Hope
100% of your donations go to the families.
This event will take place on December 7, 2019.
To prepare for this event, we are collecting donations at the high school.
Please consider helping us meet the needs of Platte County families.
Each building has a place for collecting items - there are two inflatable swimming pools to collect sports balls, toys and games or puzzles. One by the Main Office and one by Paxton Welcome Desk. Any student who donates a game, sports ball, toy, or puzzle will receive a coupon for a free taco from Taco Bell. (please see Mrs. Davis in ain office or Mrs. Frame in Paxton when you donate, to receive your coupon.)
Each FRESHMEN PLT is collecting non-perishable food items.
Boxes will be located in Freshman PLT rooms and the Mentors and Freshmen are challenged to collect food items. The winning 3 PLT's will have a Dairy Queen outing (ice cream treat) in December during PLT!!! (this includes the Teachers and Pirate Mentors!)

Bullying and Safety Concerns
Safety is one of our district’s top priorities and to help safeguard our school community, our district is now using SafeSchools Alert, a tip reporting service that allows students, staff, and parents to submit safety concerns to our administration.
You and your child can easily report tips on bullying, harassment, or any safety issue you're concerned about through SafeSchools Alert.
Every tip SafeSchools Alert receives about our district is immediately logged in the system and our administration is notified so that they can investigate and take appropriate action. And, tips may also be submitted anonymously if you prefer.
Together, using SafeSchools Alert, we can make our district a safer place to learn!
