LIBRARY PAGES
Library Corner:
We have been celebrating Earth week all week and exploring the Worldbook Online. Thursday 5th grade is cleaning up the playground (with gloves of course 🙂) from all of the garbage starting to surface to do our part in keeping our playground clean and safe. With summer quickly approaching, social media might be a bigger part of your tweens and teens lives. For some great resources check out Common Sense Media's tips and tricks at https://www.commonsensemedia.org/social-media.

Missing
- Unfortunately, our little missing Ozobot still hasn't returned. He went on an "adventure" during a kindergarten class a few weeks ago. The rest of his buddies miss him terribly. If this little guy shows up at your house please send him home to our library. 🙂

HEALTH SCREENING
During the course of this year, various health screenings will take place. These may include vision, hearing, color perception, height, weight, blood pressure, dental and scoliosis screenings. You will be contacted if any of these basic screening tests indicate that further testing or follow-up is necessary.
As health professionals, we are concerned that the physical and mental health of your student does not interfere with his/her ability to learn. If at any time you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact your school nurse.

SPRING HEALTHY FUTURES CHALLENGE
Healthy Futures
All the new sunshine is making us antsy for some exercise. Healthy Futures Spring Challenge begins February 1st. It is over at the end of April. All your child needs to do is exercise for 60 minutes on at least 15 days in the month, and they can earn a small prize for turning in a completed monthly activity log. If your child is running and playing at recess that counts for 30 minutes each day and when they have P.E. that is 45 minutes of exercise. Just mark it down on your calendars and turn in your completed calendars at the end of each month to earn a prize and be entered to win larger prizes at the end of the Challenge. Enjoy yourselves and let everyone know how you are building a healthy future for you and your family.
