HOLY ROSARY NEWSLETTER
Term 2 Week 8 June 21 2019
What a terrific assembly this morning! Congratulations to Trish Norman and her students who were just fabulous! Next week’s assembly is hosted by our Year Five Dominic Team. This will be our final assembly for the term as the week after sees us celebrating with our end of term mass which is being prepared by our Pre Primary children. We look forward to seeing you at both of these important celebrations.
Our intrepid Winter Carnival participants had a very successful day, and all are to be congratulated on being good sports, for trying their best and for honouring the spirit of Holy Rosary.
The Holy Rosary School Board has some significant information to share with you. It was sent out earlier as a separate Newsletter.
Have a great weekend.

SEQTA Engage Parent Log-in
It is important that you please check your log in for SEQTA Engage as early as possible so that you will be able to access your child's report at the end of this term.
To do this you need to go to the following site:
or follow the link from our school website to “SEQTA Engage - parents” and use your username and password credentials that you set up last year.
New Families and PP parents were sent an email link last week inviting them to setup a username and password to SEQTA Engage.
If you have remembered your username but have forgotten your password, please click on the Forgot your password? link and an immediate email will be sent to you. The email will expire within one hour, so please action this immediately.
If you forgotten both of these, then please contact the school and we can remind you of your username.
🏐🏉 WINTER SPORTS CARNIVAL 🏉🏐
Yesterday we had basket ballers playing netball; dancers playing soccer; swimmers playing Footy. It’s the Year 6 Winter Sports Carnival, where you get to choose a sport, train with your friends, and then play four hours of tournaments against other Catholic schools on Carnival Day! A huge thank you to the teachers and parents who ran training sessions, umpired, managed a team or came along to cheer them on.
HOLY ROSARY COMMUNITY NEWS
HOLY ROSARY WINS HARVEY NORMAN SPONSORSHIP
We entered our girls’ triathlon team for the Girls’ Team Harvey Junior sponsorship of $5,000 – and won!
Training for three sports in one requires strength, grit and determination. For girls, a sport like triathlon can improve confidence, self-opinion, body image, ability to handle challenging situations and build stronger relationships with other girls.
We are thrilled and very grateful to Harvey Norman for recognising and supporting our school sporting opportunities. The money will be used to purchase sport and competition equipment.
Team Harvey Junior is dedicated to advancing girls in sport at a grassroots level and ensuring the sportswomen role models of tomorrow get the assistance they need to always bring their A-game. Go girls!
Pre-Primary and Kindy will be running our annual Bake Sale fundraiser again, held on the last day of term. A great opportunity to stock up for the beginning of school holidays!

MEET OUR LAWYER AND SETTLEMENT AGENT
Holy Rosary mum-of-four Melissa Dixon is the owner of MDH Legal, a boutique law firm in Osborne Park which specialises in Property Law, Conveyancing, Contract Law, Wills and Estates.
MELISSA, WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT WHAT YOU DO?
I feel privileged to help people with what is often their most valuable asset – whether they be purchasing or selling property.
I love dealing with everyday people and scenarios, helping clients to make informed and commercial decisions on sale contracts to ensure they are legally protected, and assisting them with management of their assets in Wills.
As a small business owner, I like the face-to-face communication and freedom to be able to provide service when people need it, even if it’s after-hours.
If you know of anyone buying or selling, they can contact me for complimentary advice. All fees are by quotation and competitively priced. Or, if you need a Will, power of attorney or probate (the things we always want to avoid) contact me for an appointment (if local, it can be at your residence).
Ring Melissa Dixon on 0410 620 144 or 9344 1677
