A Message from D303
Dear District 303 In-Person Middle and High School Families,
Beginning April 5, 2021, we are excited to be offering middle school and high school in-person students in-person instruction five days a week. While we are working to maintain as much continuity as possible with schedules, there are some changes to some of our procedures and routines due to the increase in the number of students attending school each day.
Thompson and Wredling Middle Schools
Bell schedules will remain the same.
Since students will be attending every day, there will no longer be asynchronous instruction.
As bus routes are balanced to accommodate additional students, there may be some route changes for your child. Bus schedules will be available in eLink by 9:00 a.m. on April 2. You may find bus route information in the Home Access Center under Home>>School Links Tab>>Bus Route Information.
Students will order lunch by 9:30 a.m. every day and eat at school. At the same time, students may order breakfast they can pick up after school for the next morning.
St. Charles East and St. Charles North High Schools
Bell schedules will remain the same.
As bus routes are balanced to accommodate additional students, there may be some route changes for your child. Bus schedules will be available in eLink by 9:00 a.m. on April 2. You may find bus route information in the Home Access Center under Home>>School Links Tab>>Bus Route Information.
Students will continue to pick up a grab-and-go meal at the end of the day that includes lunch for that day and breakfast for the next day.
Keeping our schools open to increased in-person learning is a partnership between the district, our families, and the community. As a district, we will continue to implement safety precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 at school. We also request that you and your family take measures to stay safe during spring break. By following the mitigation strategies outlined by the Centers for Disease Control, the Illinois Department of Public Health, and the Kane County Health Department, we can provide a safe return to school for our students and staff. Thanks for your continued support of the district. We look forward to taking this next step in providing increased in-person opportunities for our students.

Currently, pick-up is scheduled for April 26 and April 27 during the day and April 27 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. This will ensure all seniors receive a sign and can place them wherever they choose. National Honor Society
Attention Current Sophomores and Juniors!
- Do you have a weighted or unweighted GPA of 4.5 or above?
- Do you participate in clubs/sports/activities at SCN and our community?
- Do you do service and/or hold leadership positions?
If you answered YES to any of these, you might want to consider applying for the National Honor Society. Use the Google Classroom Code hmv4ztw to get more information and this year’s application! All applications are due by May 7, 2021!
Seal of Biliteracy
Do you communicate in another language other than English? Are you enrolled in a world language course at SCN? If you answered yes to either of these questions, you might want to consider taking the Seal of Biliteracy exam.
Students who meet the state-approved proficiency level in speaking, listening, reading and writing, may receive the Seal of Biliteracy or Commendation distinction on their diploma and transcript. In addition, many colleges and universities accept the State Seal of Biliteracy as equivalent to two years of foreign language coursework taken in high school and may provide college credit.
Please visit the North High School website to find out more information about the test, the associated fee, and registration for the exam. The test will be administered on Saturday, April 10. The deadline to sign up is Wednesday, April 7.
