KSD Celebrates Black History Month
Please meet Bill Inge, a 1992 graduate and inductee into our Athletic Hall of Fame Class of 2013. Bill was inducted into the Hall of Fame for his accomplishments as a high school and college athlete as well as his continued success as a coach. As a player at KHS, he excelled in football, basketball, and track and field, racking up multiple awards and honors, including All-State honors in both football and track. His success on the gridiron earned him a spot on both the Super Prep All-American Midwest Team and the Kirkwood High School All-Century Football Team. He continued to thrive as a four-year letter-winner for the University of Iowa football team where he collected second-team All-Big Ten and first-team Academic All-Big Ten accolades. He traded his playing helmet for a coach’s headset and he’s coached athletes at the collegiate level and NFL level including the University of Iowa, San Diego State University, Indiana University, and the Buffalo Bills. Coach Inge recently served as the co-defensive coordinator and linebackers coach for the University of Washington football team. Coach Inge was just announced as an assistant coach for the University of Alabama.
