Last Week of Open Courts
This is our last week of Open Courts until school starts! I have added a Wednesday this week as well to make up for the missed day last Thursday. Please continue to show up to Open Courts as much as possible! We will begin at 9:30 still!
Again, I cannot stress enough how important playing through the summer and into next spring is to improve your game. If you need more guidance then what I have provided below please let me know! Also, I found a neat site for tennis players that gives tips and information on tennis going on in the area. The link is above; maybe even bookmark the site on your own device! Hope to see you this week!
Continued Opportunities Once School Starts
- Possible Fall Howell JTT Team??? This is a possibility, but I will need a coach and I need to know who is interested. PLEASE DM in the GroupMe if you are!
- Vetta West Clinics and Privates are always a sure fire way to hone in on your skills. I would say if you played in the Top 12 you should be doing some privates at this point. If you were below Top 12 you could start with group clinics, but to improve quickly mixing in a few privates is also a great idea. CLICK HERE for Vetta's main site.
- USTA Tournaments If you want to play in college tennis at a D1/D2 level, you should be playing in USTA Tournaments. You have to become a member and then sign up for play. Lots of colleges look at your USTA Rank. CLICK HERE for the site.
- Frontenac Racket Club is hosting a round-robin, non-elimination tournament called Summer Gateway Jr. Tennis Tournaments. These half-day events run every Saturday and are great for jv to mid-varsity level players. See the attachment below to get details on this great matchplay experience.
