Congratulations Quiz Bowl Teams
Dear TRMS Members and Parents,
This past weekend our A and B teams participated in the KITTEN Quizbowl tournament at Chattahoochee High School. It was the first ever tournament for many and the first tournament of the season for everyone. Both teams did very well considering these circumstances.
Taylor Road A had a tough day this Saturday:
They went 1-4 before lunch and 0-2 after, for an overall record of 1-6.
They finished 8th in the novice division.
Regardless, many members had great PPGs. (Points Per Game)
Team captain Austin had a remarkable 25.71 PPG
New member Arnav had an excellent 22.86 PPG
New member Sophia had a respectable 12.86 PPG
Ved and Srihan were quite helpful during bonuses but were not able to get on the tossup board much
This team has promising members and with continued work, we can have many future accomplishments.
Taylor Road B received 2nd place in the Novice Division!
They went 4-1 before lunch and 1-1 in a very close loss to Lakeside after, for an impressive overall record of 5-2.
Dhruva absolutely demolished and received 2nd place in individual scoring with 53.54 PPG!
Samy in his first ever tournament amazed with a 22.86 PPG.
Team captain Adarsh had a respectable 9.29 PPG
Sourish and new member Syon had a little more trouble getting tossups but contributed greatly towards bonuses.
They did very well, especially since they were playing a high school set against high school teams. The fact that our middle school team placed against high schoolers speaks to the ability of our members.
We want to thank our sponsor, Mrs. Crust, for generously offering us her room and time. She is what facilitated these great accomplishments for the team.
We are excited to see the future achievements of these amazing players. We could not have anticipated better results and it’s impressive how much our players have grown since that first practice in October. We have a few potential tournaments coming up and MS State in a few months. In the meantime, keep working and the sky is the limit.
Congratulations Players,
Dhanesh and Brandon

- Visitors to the building are allowed
- All students and staff – masks are optional. EXCEPTIONS: Those who are directed to wear masks as directed due to COVID exposures.
- Breakfasts will be grab and go. Lunches will all be eaten in the cafeteria utilizing as much distancing as possible.
- Clubs and intramurals will continue this week.
If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Mr. Parker.

Backpacks of Love
At TRMS we have a program called “backpacks of love”. The purpose of this program is to provide assistance by donating non-perishable items to our families. The participants’ names are known only to the counselors and social worker. Once every two weeks a backpack with food items are available to go home. A student can carry the backpack home, or the parent can pick it up at the front office. All we need to know is if you would like to participate, how many adults are in the house, how many children are in the house, and if there are any dietary allergies such as peanut butter. We can only provide for a certain number of families so the sooner you reply the better. We will respond regardless of whether you are in the program or if supplies run out.

Covid Reporting - Reminder
FCS continues to ask parents to report when their student has been tested. Please refer to the following guidance for reporting:
- Use portals to report pending tests, positive test results, and direct exposures outside of FCS.
- If you are awaiting test results, have a negative test, and/or are asymptomatic, your student may continue to report to school with a mask.
- If you are symptomatic or have a positive test, you are not to report to school.
Parents must use the Parent Reporting Portal to make a COVID-19 report. FCS will only send notifications for direct contact exposures at FCS facilities
