A Message from Marcie

Happy Friday, South Park!

We successfully made it through IAR testing! Students who need to make up any assessments will do so next week.

Congratulations to our 3rd and 5th-grade students on wonderful in-person music concerts this week! We are so grateful to be welcoming families back into our school for these types of events. As we look ahead to the end of the month and beyond, we are cautiously optimistic about even more in-person events for our students and families at South Park.

A quick reminder that Goals and Concern Forms are due today and we will not have school next Friday.

Have a great weekend!

Support the South Park Read-a-Thon

This year, we are excited to announce that we will hold a Read-a-thon fundraiser. Read-a-thon is a program that brings students together with family and friends to encourage reading and to build literacy skills. Our Read-a-thon will help us raise funds to add a permanent Storywalk to the park grounds at South Park! Our temporary storywalks have been well-loved and we look forward to making the feature a permanent installation. Our Read-a-thon will start on April 18, 2022. Next week, we will send home paperwork with your reader explaining how you will activate their personal Read-a-thon page. Your child will also receive a sticker to wear, letting you know the fundraiser is about to begin! You will find this to be a very simple fundraiser. By simply activating your reader’s personal page and using the promotional tools found there, friends and family anywhere in the world can show their support for your reader by making a donation to our Read-a-thon. Readers can qualify for fun prizes just by reading!
