For Parents of Current 6th Graders - (7th graders for 2024-2025 school year)
One of the requirements for all 7th graders to attend school is to have the Tdap immunization. Please take your child to your physician or local Health Department for the necessary immunizations as soon as possible. Please return the required certificate of immunization (DOH680 form) to the school so we can document it in our records.
You can provide this documentation a couple different ways:
1) Bring a copy of the immunization record to the school for us to verify and note in our system.
2) Scan the document and send an email to Michelle Gardner, school nurse, at migardne@pasco.k12.fl.us.
Please note that students who have not provided documentation of this required immunization will not receive their class schedule during registration in August. If the required document is not received by the first day of school, your child will be excluded from school until proof of the vaccine is provided.
Continuous Improvement Information
As a continuation of our school's discussions about our academic programs, our teachers have agreed to commit to having a minimum number of graded activities in MyStudent for the Core Learning and Supplemental Learning categories. Teachers will ensure that there are four or more activities for each category to give students opportunities to demonstrate mastery of course curriculum. Core learning accounts for 70% of a course grade, while Supplemental learning accounts for 30% of the overall grade.
Gradventure Reminder - Current Grade 8 Students
Gradventure tickets are still available, and the busses are starting to fill up! Any student or chaperone who purchases a ticket before March 1 is guaranteed a spot. On March 1, our total number of busses will be set, and we will sell tickets until the last bus is full or March 15, whichever comes first.
We strongly encourage you to purchase your ticket as soon as possible. Tickets are $190.55, and include admission to both Universal and Islands of Adventure, charter bus transportation, a t-shirt, and a meal voucher. You may purchase through the "Pay Student Fees" button on the Angeline website, or by sending a check to Mr. Kelly.
If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Kelly at jwkelly@pasco.k12.fl.us.
Updates for Prize Redemption & Donations Requested
⚠️ Students who place orders by 2 PM on Thursday can now report to the school store to pick up their rewards on Friday morning. We will no longer deliver them during the lunch periods.
Our Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS) program is off to a strong start--but we're completely OUT of the three most popular items that students request with their points!
You can check out the entire wishlist, and have items shipped directly to our PBIS Committee. We appreciate your support of our students and their good work!
Dual Enrollment Registration Information
Eligible high school students may choose to take dual enrollment courses during the 2024-2025 school year. We will offer the required Postsecondary Education Readiness Test (PERT) this spring to assist students with the registration process for PHSC or USF. Angeline Academy of Innovation will appear as a school choice within the PHSC system after March 4, for students to begin requesting fall courses.
More information about dual enrollment options is available here: https://www.pasco.k12.fl.us/oll/page/dual-enrollment
After Hours Program Closure
Recently, our bookkeeper decided to pursue other professional opportunities, sparking a search for another bookkeeper. One result of this transition, however, is the decision to stop our paid after school activities. We simply don't have the capacity to manage the payments and accounting necessary.
We recognize that this news is unexpected, and we apologize for the abrupt change of direction.
Our Math team has determined that they will be able to offer FREE tutoring on Tuesdays and Thursdays, as follows:
Tuesday: Tutoring w/ Mrs. Livingston until 3:30 PM (7th & 8th gr. math); Tutoring w/ Mr. Kelley until 3:45 PM (Algebra 1, Precalc - for his students)
Thursday: Tutoring w/ Mrs. Livingston until 3:30 PM (7th & 8th gr. math - for her students)
Please note: These sessions are small group tutoring supported by our teachers and NHS students earning service hours. They are NOT individual tutoring sessions. Students will benefit most by coming in with assignments or topics to tackle and get assistance with. Students must be picked up within 15 minutes of the scheduled end time of the session on Tuesdays & Thursdays.
If you had paid ahead for a program, our district Finance team is processing refunds to impacted families.
Partners Wanted
Do you have a business that would welcome student volunteers, job shadowing, or interns? We're ready to begin planning for community experiences for our students in the 2024-2025 school year, and looking to curate a list of businesses and organizations that would be willing to let students complete volunteer hours for Bright Futures, honor society membership and more.

The 1 Type of Ball You Don’t Want to Play With Your Kid
When my kids were younger and would fall and get hurt, I would immediately get frustrated with them: “Why were you running? Kids shouldn’t run!” Then, almost as quickly, I would comfort them. If you are judging me right now, get in line behind me. What in the name of roller coaster kid's emotions is going on here? But you get it—sometimes your kid's emotions can be mind-boggling. When your toddler goes from content to collapsing in a millisecond, it's hard to stay calm. When your teenager announces he has no friends and wants to live off the grid, it’s hard to be empathetic. When your kid uses emotion to get you to bend on a boundary, it’s hard to stay strong. Research shows we pick up and pass each other’s emotions back and forth like a ball. This is natural and sometimes good. But allowing your kid’s emotions to determine yours is one type of ball you don’t want to play with your kids. Here are 3 ways to avoid it.
Huddle up with your kids and ask, “Do you feel safe telling me when you feel tough things like frustration, sadness, and anger? Why or why not?”
