This Week in Room 508

I hope everyone had a great weekend! I enjoyed seeing so many friends at the carnival on Saturday. Last week flew by quickly and I know this week will go just as fast! I hope you and your family have a FABULOUS Spring Break!

Readers' Workshop:

We will be focusing on story elements again this week: setting, characters, problems and solutions. We will also review text-to-text and self-to-text connections.

**Readers will not be sent home this week.**

Writers' Workshop:

We will begin nonfiction/informational writing this week.

Math Workshop:

We will continue to work on measurement.

Please send in a small baby picture of your child (with his/her name labeled on the back) to school by Wednesday. Thank you!

Kindergarten Rodeo

We will be celebrating the conclusion of our Texas unit with a rodeo on Thursday afternoon at 1:00 pm. Feel free to bring your camera and join us for the festivities. Your child is welcome to wear boots/rodeo attire for this event but it is not required.

Pledge Week

Our class will be leading the pledges at morning assembly the week after Spring Break. I will be sending your child's assignment home this week. Your child will need to be in the gym by 7:35 am the day they have an assignment!


Thursday, March 12: Kindergarten Rodeo at 1:00 pm

March 16-20: SPRING BREAK!

March 23-27: Our class will be leading morning assembly.

April 9: Field Trip to the Oil Ranch. We would LOVE for you to join us! Please return the permission slip and $7.50 if you have not done so already.
