Better Crosswalks and Safer Streets Around Roosevelt -- We Need Your Help
The City of Glendale has requested our support in obtaining an Active Transportation Program (ATP) grant to improve traffic safety around our schools. A map of the proposed improvements around our school site is attached. The improvements include high visibility crosswalks at key crossings and other safety measures as described in the attachment. Your thoughts and suggestions on ways to improve the safety of students walking or riding their bikes to school are appreciated, even if they are not included in the attached proposal.
Please take a moment to complete a brief survey about your child(ren)’s normal transportation to and from school and your feelings about their safety by this Tuesday, September 15. The survey can be completed at https://bit.ly/35wtZsC
Since we continue to face rapid and extensive changes to procedures and routines related to the COVID-19 pandemic, please complete the survey with your thoughts and actions from before the pandemic, as best as you can recall.
