Headteachers Message
Dear Families
Another busy, but very cold week at Teddington, thank you to all students who have braved the elements, arrived on time and continued to match and in many cases exceed the high standards we set.
Here are a few highlights from this week:
Firstly, I would like to extend a huge congratulations to the Year 11 boys football team for their outstanding achievement in the Borough final last week. They secured victory against Grey Court, marking the third consecutive year that our Year 11 team has won this competition, we are immensely proud of their accomplishments.
We were delighted to host a representative from Homerton College, Oxford. The informative session provided valuable insights into the opportunities available for our students at this prestigious institution.
We have an exciting opportunity to share regarding Brentford FC! The continued partnership between our school and the football club promises enriching experiences for our students, giving opportunities for 'student-athletes' to study at our Sixth Form and represent a Premier League club as part of their development programme. Year 11 parents, please find more details below and how to book onto a free trial below.
Looking ahead, we are excited for our upcoming Careers Networking Evening scheduled for Thursday next week. This event will provide a platform for students to engage with professionals from various fields, helping them gain valuable insights into potential career paths. Please encourage your child to participate in this invaluable networking opportunity.
Finally, our school is buzzing with activity beyond the classroom, with a variety of extracurricular clubs in full swing. From performing arts and sciences to sports and sewing, there is something for everyone. For more information on the clubs available, please visit our school website.
Thank you to all families for your ongoing support, I'm wishing you a wonderful weekend and week ahead. We look forward to welcoming students back on Monday for an 08:40 start.
Kind regards
Mr P Grills
Headteacher

Weekly Head of Year Message
First and foremost, we're thrilled to see that our Year 10s have settled back seamlessly into the New Year. This half term we have kickstarted our new positive recognition initiative, "Try January." This has involved acknowledging the top performer in class with a golden ticket reward and has observed a great buzz within lessons. We would also like to give a big shoutout to our Year 10 helpers who lent their time to support teachers during Year 11 Parents Evening.
Looking forward, we are beginning to explore future pathways with a series of upcoming events. College talks have been advertised in form this week, offering valuable insights into post-secondary education options. We also have our Networking Evening on 25 January. This event provides a unique opportunity for students to engage in discussions about potential career paths. Professionals from various fields will be present, allowing students to gain insights, ask questions, and consider the myriad of opportunities that lie ahead while developing professional etiquette.
As we move forward, we encourage all Year 10 students to actively participate in these events, take advantage of the resources available, and continue to approach their studies with the same enthusiasm that has marked the beginning of this academic year.
Kind regards
Mr J Rolfe
