RULH First Graders Enjoy Presentation from Brown County Rural Water
It was perfect timing last week for a water and ice presentation by Ms. DanielleThompson from the Brown County Soil and Water Conservation District. Danielle did an experiment with the first graders about water and how temperature plays a part in the states of matter that water can have; liquid, solid, and ice. Ms. Thompson had the students observe changes to ice as heat was applied. Students were excited to learn the science concept. Thank you to the Brown County Rural Water and Conservation District and Ms. Danielle Thompson!

RULH second grade students have been working on finding the central message in a story. In the folktale "Stone Soup", students learned about the central message of sharing and working together. As a culminating activity, students made a classroom version of stone soup. Each child brought in an item to share, and the students enjoyed working together to make the soup. Second grade students are also continuing to work on creating New Year goals. These goals are based on what they want to achieve in academics and social emotional learning.
