Pompeii
Pompeii is a famous Volcano in Italy! The Volcano erupted on August 24, 27 AD. It covered all of the nearby town in ash and soil. It also preserved and froze most of the people and items in Pompeii!
Leaning Tower of Pisa
The Leaning tower of Pisa took 344 years to build over a process of 3 stages. On August 4, 1173 they started the construction of the ground floor in the tower. The second floor was started in 1778 but the building began to sink because of the poor foundation it was built on. This caused construction to stop for almost an entire century. In 1272 they continued the Construction of the leaning Tower of Pisa. In 1319 the seventh floor was started and the final floor the bell chamber was added in 1372. It is located in Pisa, Italy.
The Ancient Greek Town of Paestum
It is located near the Tyrrhenian coast! The town Paestum was founded around the end of the 7th century BC. It was originally know as Poseidonia. There are many temples in Paestum including the Temple of Hera and the Temple of Poseidon.
