*The upcoming March meeting is a super duper important one! We will be focusing on our new professional ebook collection and all learning how to use it. Principals will learn about it on March 23rd and will expect you to be the expert on using it. As with all of our meetings, please make every effort to attend. After the March meeting there's only one more this year!

Library Collaborative Teams

Lone Star Storytelling Festival

Auditions for the Lone Star Storytelling Festival are now open! Click here for information and forms. Please share this with your parents and students.


The dates for the storytelling field trip have been set for October 13-14. Please add BOTH of these dates to your calendar. We will do the schedule of days in August but everyone needs to be aware of these now. Also, the event will begin at 10:00 a.m. More to come in August...

Technology in Action Conference

July 19-20

Hosted by Denton ISD's Instructional Technology conference, this event is quickly becoming a must-attend event. Registration fee is $35 for anyone outside of Denton ISD.


The conference organizers are looking for presenters. If you submit a proposal to present and it's accepted there is no registration fee!!! If you submit a proposal to present and it's NOT accepted, FISD will pay your registration fee. All of you are doing fabulous things in your library so share that with others! So that I can verify your submission, share your proposal with me. No more than 2 presenters per session proposal. If you choose not to submit a proposal, you will be responsible for paying your own way.


This conference counts towards summer PD hours!

The Texas Google Summit is coming to Frisco this year! FISD's Technology Department is hosting the 2016 Texas Google Summit this year at Reedy HS.
