Welcome New and Returning Staff!
VTHS would like to welcome back Mrs. Cheddy Bodgewicz. She is our new administrative assistant to our Atheltic Director, Bill Foley. VTHS would like to give a warm welcome to Rachel Moore, our new Speech and Language Pathologist.
We are beyond excited to have you both as part of the VTHS family!
In the Classrooms of VTHS
Former student, Violet Reed, visited Mrs. Longchamps classes to talk about the organization she runs, MEVO (Mahwah Environmental Volunteers Organization). She is an amazing young adult spearheading a unique program that helps the community in many ways. It encourages students to get involved for the greater good.

Mr. Bohem works with students individually in his Piano Lab class.

Body Biography, the task at "hand" for these sophomores, determining what their characters "saw" with their eyes, what strengths made up their "backbone," what values formed the foundation under their feet? Their "body" of work speaks for itself.

In the "dark room" in Mrs. Sabia's photography class, waiting for their film to develop.

It was a beautiful day for a field trip to the Statue of Liberty for these VTHS juniors.
Winners in their own version of "shark tank," these sophomores shredded the competition in a review of Hemingway's "Old Man and the Sea."

Senior Fundraiser Volleyball Tournament in full effect! The winning team will play the faculty at the Winter Pep Rally.

Another successful Keith Hawkin assembly. The theme of this assembly was "Understanding." Upperclassman peer leaders led the assembly, while freshmen participated in an afternoon full of activities focused on acceptance and understanding of one's differences.
Collaborative Circle Painting. 3rd level Art Majors were given pallets of various color paint, 3 very large sheets of paper and told to paint circles anywhere they wanted. They analyzed the effects of warm and cool colors.

Mrs. Lawless' Science class cracked cases through a fun educational learning experience.

A fun-filled field trip to Philadelphia! Students got to enjoy an educational experience, while also indulging in some traditional Philly cheesesteaks!

Whoever said Math isn't fun? World Cup Fans, did you know kicking a soccer ball requires quadratic equations as it involves arcs and speed? Mr. Kiedes and his Algebra 2 students have been looking at the parabolas all around us, from rainbows to roller coasters... GO USA!
Thanksgiving leftovers are the best! The Unified Club spent some quality time chatting about what they are grateful for.

Our Culinary students made a Thanksgiving feast! A huge thank you to Mrs. Fowler, Mr. Rizzo and Mrs. Jalbert, for hosting such a fantastic event for our students. It was absolutely delicious!
We are thankful to be part of a safe, supportive, caring community & for the privilege to teach our students & learn from them, a gift we never take for granted. Students reflected on what made them grateful; family won the day! Happy Thanksgiving to all. #WeAreVTHS
