Dustin Pedroia loved playing baseball ever since he was a kid. He was born in August 1983. Dustin grew up in Woodland, California. Ever since he was a high school player all his coaches and all of the scouts were doubting Dustin due to his size. He was only five feet two inches tall and one hundred and forty pounds in his senior year. Mr. Pedroia, going against all the haters, moved on to college at Arizona State University. He only grew six inches and gained forty pounds throughout college weighing in at one hundred and eighty pounds and five feet eight inches tall. Dustin kept persevering and eventually made it to the major leagues.
