Spring Show Costumes

What should your child wear?

Skylar Peace

Hello! As you may already be aware, the title of this year's spring program is Skylar Peace, and it's set in Amman, Jordan. I wrote the script this year, and it's a springboard off of the project the Magnolia class did with me earlier in the spring.

The play features the Maple class as the main actors, but the Magnolia class, Toddlers, Kindergarteners, and Primary students will all be performing as well. Please see below to find out what role your child will play, as well as suggestions for costuming.

The students below have speaking parts:

If your child is listed in the speaking parts above, he/she probably already knows what the costume should be. Email Ms. Harris (music@pebblecreekmontessori.org) if you need more information.

When in doubt, here is a very simple caftan pattern. If that seems too ambitious, a simple colorful t-shirt and white shorts is a safe bet.

The following classes will be performing:

TODDLERS - OPENING DANCE

Caftans preferred (click here for a pattern)

Or bright colored shirt and shorts or pants

KINDERGARDEN DANCE - IRISH JIG

School uniform (plaid for girls)

BLUEBONNET* DANCE - COUNTRY LINE DANCE

*excludes Kindergarteners

Bandana, Cowboy Hat, Jeans, White Shirt

(they can wear this clothing for their musical number as well)

BUTTERCUP* & LILAC* DANCE - CHA CHA

*excludes Kindergarteners

Girls: Colorful skirts & white shirts

Boys: Jeans & white shirts

(they can wear this clothing for their musical number as well)

Thanks, from Ms. Harris
