Toddler Story time
Dear Mill Creek Middle School Families,
We are excited to announce a new after-school program starting next month that is sure to bring our student leaders joy while helping young children in our community. The PJ Storytime program will have our National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) and Student Government Association (SGA) students read bedtime stories to toddlers ages 2-5 in our library here at Mill Creek Middle on Wednesday evenings from 6-7pm through December.
Our student leaders will choose an age-appropriate book from the library's collection to read out loud to a small group of toddlers, who are encouraged to wear their pajamas for the cozy event. Parents are invited to stay and listen or browse other materials while their little ones enjoy story time. We think this is a wonderful opportunity for our older students to practice leadership skills through sharing their love of reading with younger children. It also allows working parents an hour of free time at the library during busy weekday evenings.
The first PJ Storytime will be held on Wednesday, October 25th. Space is limited so sign up early if your toddler (2-5 year old) would like to attend. Our student leaders are already picking out their favorite books to share! Please contact me if you have any other questions. I hope you will consider having your toddler take part in this new program to foster early literacy skills and bring our community together.
Basketball Clinic
We have an open Basketball Clinic next Wednesday, October 18th beginning at 3:15 until 4:30pm. All are welcome.
