Interim Parent Teacher Conferences-Thursday, September 16

We are looking forward to meeting with you virtually to discuss your child's progress, and distribute the interim report cards. On next Thursday, September 16, students will be dismissed at 12:30 so that the teachers time to prepare and meet with each parent. Next week, you will receive a link to sign up online for a time to meet with your child's teacher and go over their interim grades. All conferences will on Zoom, and will run from 3:00PM to 6:00PM.

Tuition Payments

A reminder that tuition is due the 15th of each month. You will be receiving an updated statement of your account. For now, all payments to the school should be made through CashApp ($Ejapay). Please make the necessary payments so that we can continue to provide for the needs of our school. For questions regarding tuition payments, please contact Mr. Paul (treasurer@ephesusjracademy.org).

Covid Safety Reminders

We really appreciate you working with us to screen the students every day. Please continue completing the health checks every morning, and notifying us of any symptoms or exposures. Together, we can to prevent Covid-19 in our school! According to the Allegheny East Conference policy, students with any symptoms should remain home until we receive proof of a negative Covid-19 test result, or they will be asked to quarantine for 14 days. Teachers will work with you and your children to make up work that is missed due to illnesses.

Outdoor School for 6th-8th Graders

6th-8th grade parents, the conference is organizing a wonderful outdoor learning opportunity for our middle school students. This will take place October 18-20 at Mt. Aetna Retreat Center in Maryland. Please click the link below for more information. If you are interested in your child attending, please contact Mr. Thomas or Ms. Nugent. The forms and money are now due September 15. You may email the forms to jnugent@aecsda.com, or send them into school with your child. If you have any questions, please contact us.

Virtual Learning

We have completed our third week of school and our third Friday of virtual learning, and the students are doing a wonderful job! Our brand new computers are almost ready for the students to take home. Once they are ready, we will need each family to complete an agreement release form, which will be sent home before we assign the computers. Students will also receive a new username, password, and account that will be used for our virtual learning days from now on. We will send more updates regarding this next week.

Birthday Celebrations

We love celebrating birthdays with our school family, but we ask that if you are sending in treats to share, please notify your child's classroom teacher at least 2 days in advance. Store-bought, individually wrapped snacks are preferred to limit the spread of germs (fruit snacks, bagged chips, juice boxes, etc). If you need any ideas, please feel free to ask any staff member.

Lunch Reminders

Parents, we need your help! When possible, please send students to school with food that is ready to eat. We ask that students who choose to microwave food should limit their cook times to no longer than 3 minutes. Please remember that there is only one microwave per classroom, and longer cook times cause delays in our lunch schedule.

Please remember to follow the uniform schedules as outlined below. If you have ordered uniforms, and are still waiting on them to arrive, please be sure to write your child's teacher a note so they can be excused.
