A note from Mrs. Bruce...
Dear Parents and Students:
Some of you may have noticed that I haven't been answering the phone or been behind the desk in the Belair office this year. That's because I decided to retire as of June 2nd. I just want to take this opportunity to tell each of you how I so enjoyed working with your families! A lot of friendships were made that I will treasure forever! Children are fabulous!! They are just "little adults". They all are their very own person and that is what makes them so very special! For 25 years I enjoyed their smiles, their stories and them just being "them"! I will miss the staff, the parents, but mostly... I will miss the kiddos!!! To all of you I wish a very happy and healthy future!!

Nominate an Outstanding Educator!
The nomination process for the JCPS Teacher of the Year is simple. Anyone can nominate a teacher for this award. We receive very touching nominations from administrators, teachers, parents, and students, many of which are very touching. The next step is the application process. These applications are reviewed by a selection committee, who are dedicated to finding the teacher who possesses the qualities of all good teachers. After looking over the applications, the committee selects six finalists (3 elementary and 3 secondary); the committee then travels to each one of the classrooms to personally meet them and to talk about school issues and to better gauge their personal passions about their professions. The 2016 Outstanding Educator and the 2016 Teacher of the Year will both receive $1,000.
Nominations for the 2016 Eisinger Teacher of the Year & Outstanding Educator Award are now open here. (http://www.jcschools.us) Act fast...deadline January 8th!
