La Bandera

Spain's flag has two colors, which are yellow and red. The symbols on the flag are crowns, pillars, flowers, and a lion. The crown topped pillars with the red banner represents the coat of arms, and the words PLUS ULTRA on the banner, mean More Beyond, which alludes to Christopher Colomus' discovery of the new world. The object in between the pillars represents a shield of strength.

Persona Famosa - Pablo Picasso

Pablo Picasso was a Spanish artist, who was born on October 25th, 1881 in Malága, Spain, and died on April 8th, 1973 in Mougins, France. Pablo Picasso was one of the most influential and greatest artists of the 20th century, and he was also the co-creator of cubism alongside his best friend Georges Braque. As mentioned before, cubism is a style of art. He was also a sculpter, painter, ceramist, stage designer, and printmaker. An interesting fact about Pablo Picasso is that his full name is twenty three words long. Picasso was really well known for how he switched between styles of art often, because as he once said "whenever I wanted to say something, I said it the way I believed I should."
