Dear Families,
We are very excited and happy to start this new year 2023 together. It has been such a joy welcoming our students back. I am glad to say, it already feels like we are truly going back to normal. We have different events happening, field trips, and fun learning activities comming up. Thank you for your continued support and I can't wait to see what great and exciting things this new year will bring for our students, staff and families.

Evaluación de Comprensión y Comunicación en Inglés de Estado a Estado (ACCESS, por sus siglas en inglés).
Students who are designated as an Emerging Bilingual and have not yet become Fluent English Proficient (FEP) will participate in the state assessment: Assessing Comprehension and Communication in English State-to-State (ACCESS) test for English Language Learners.
Assessments are being administered between January 9 - February 10, 2023. This test includes both written and oral components. ACCESS results provide valuable information to teachers about the progress students are making in learning English.

SAC Updates (Before and After School Child Care)
BVSD School Age Care – SAC has been very popular at Pioneer this year, and there are waitlists for all days of the week. To add your child(ren) to the waitlist, please email bvsd.childcare@bvsd.org.
Registration for November and December Adventure Camps are open. Pioneer staff will join other SAC staff at Ryan Elementary for Adventure Camps. To learn more, look here.
BVSD Early Connections – Infants and toddlers can enjoy a safe, nurturing environment in our licensed facility inside the Arapahoe Ridge campus at 65th & Arapahoe in Boulder.
