Kindergarten's November Newsletter

Language Arts

Our current module in Language Arts is Toys and Play. We are learning how to make playing together fun, how to participate in conversations with our friends appropriately, and how to write to share our opinion about toys we like!

Skills Block

We use a program called Fundations for phonemic awareness and letter/sound recognition. Watch for the parent connection letter to find out what sounds/letters and skills are being worked on.

Your child will continue to work in the Maryland College and Career Readiness Standards. We will continue learning about counting and classifying objects, as well as understanding and representing addition and subtraction within 5.

Science and Social Studies

We will be learning about Force and Motion, Thanksgiving, and also about How To Be Responsible.

Please remember to label all coats, sweaters, backpacks, hats, and lunchboxes with your child’s name. With the weather changing, please make sure to send your child with the appropriate clothing. Please make sure that your child can independently unfasten/fasten his/her clothes. Also remember to check your child’s folder each night.
