SCHOOL WIDE UPDATES!
TRIMESTERS ARE HERE
Student will be taking only 4 courses each term instead of 6
- Each course is still .5 credit so students will still earn 6 credits per year (4 courses * 3 Terms = 12 Courses or 6 credits)
- By focusing on fewer courses, students will be able to better balance their work load.
More opportunities to take the A or B component of a year-long course
- Year-long courses are still divided into two terms (commonly called A or B)
- For most year-long courses, we will be able to offer the A course twice per year and the B course twice per year as opposed to once a year on a semester schedule
More opportunities to take the credit recovery
- All of our credit recovery courses will be available every term – 3 times per year as opposed to 2 times per year on a semester schedule
ENGAGING IN SCHOOL
- Students are required to make two-way contact with one of their teachers every week
- Students must attend all required live classes through Blackboard Collaborate
- Students need to login to the Online High School system daily and complete course work in each of their courses
- Students are required to complete a Month Progress Conference with their homeroom teacher
Students are expected to spend 30-35 hours per week completing school work.
