Types of stress
By definition, stress is a feeling that is created when we react to certain events. Stressful situations can occur when a loved one dies or becomes ill. This is the bad stress, but there is good stress too. For example, eustress (short term) is a form of good stress. Our bodies react to stress in different ways such as faster heart rate, high blood pressure, and energy production. When we get stressed our heart rates tend to jump because your adrenaline is pumping.
Side Effects of Stress
With stress sometimes comes emotions. Good or bad, there are way to fix it. If you are stressed you might feel sad, or even depressed. You might not want to eat or be around other people. If this happens there are things you can do. You could talk to someone you trust, or try working out or doing something new. You might want to treat yourself to a pedicure or a night out. Just do something to get your mind off of everything. If this doesn't help, there are website that can help you. Or you can even join a support group.
