Meet Mrs. Dingman-VPK teacher and Fordham's Teacher of the Year
My name is Emma Dingman, and I am one of the VPK teachers here at Fordham. I am honored to be here at this school, surrounded by like-minded people and working in a role that inspires growth. I am looking forward to an exciting and productive year with our youngest learners on campus.
This is my fourth year as a Pre-K teacher. I graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with a degree in Child and Youth Studies. Over the past few years, I have taken many hours of professional development in order to be prepared to meet each child’s needs.
I love teaching Pre-K! My mission as a teacher is to help children discover the joy of learning and to help each child develop a strong belief in his or her own ability. I want them to do their best and to have a sense of pride in their work. It is also of primary importance to me that my students appreciate and respect other people’s differences. I enjoy reading, cooking, running, going to the beach, gardening, and spending time with my animals. I have a love for animals and plants and hope to bring that to the classroom.
I hope to make my students' first experience in school a fantastic one and instill a lifelong passion for learning!
