The Spencer Scoop
Spencer Elementary - June 5, 2020
Hello Spencer Families,
Happy last day of school! On behalf of all here at Spencer, we would like to thank you for your flexibility and continued support through our entire transition from brick to click learning. It's been quite a learning experience for us all. Thank you for your patience and all of your support.
Next Tuesday, is Spencer's student item pick-up day. Please note, all of the items gathered, have been done by the teachers. If you have questions or concerns, please contact your child's teacher.
Please use the link below, as we've included some FAQ.
Keep connected through the summer by checking the BAS District's webpage and emails from the District's Superintendent's office.
Until we meet again as one giant Spencer family,
Take care and be safe,
B. Renner
Yearbook Update
This is the latest communication I received from Lifetouch regarding our yearbooks...
Currently 3 out of our 6 printing labs are open. Due to the Coronavirus and state mandates we are working with a reduced staff, social distancing, and making sure that the labs are sanitized and safe for our fellow employees to work in. With this being said, we currently cannot give you an exact date that you can expect your yearbooks to deliver, but we promise to keep you posted as the information is communicated with us.
Because of this, we are planning to distribute yearbooks to the students who ordered them in the Fall and will devise a plan to get them to our 4th graders.
Note from the Art Room:
Dear Spencer Families,
I know some of you may be wondering about when you're going to get artwork back. Please know that it will be safe at school over the summer. I will arrange plans to return artwork once we're back in the art room. Thank you for your understanding. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out.
Have a wonderful summer,
Ms. Fleet

Message from Spencer PTO
Dear Future Maltby Bullpups!
Since you were not able to visit us this June due to the current circumstances, we have prepared a virtual tour of Maltby Intermediate School!
Maltby Co-Principal, Mr. Aten, and Maltby Counselor, Mrs. Anderson, have taken the time to create this virtual tour to help you get familiar with the building. We hope you enjoy it! We are very excited to welcome you to Maltby next year!
Sincerely,
Mr. Brenner, Mr. Aten, and Mrs. Anderson
***PTO Bottle Drive****
Please consider saving your returnables to support the Spencer PTO in a bottle drive. You probably have a huge pile of returnables collecting dust in your garage. Let's make up some of the lost income from auction by teaming together to turn our bottles and cans into dollars for Spencer! When bottle returns are open again and it's safe to do so, we can assemble a team of volunteers to return the cans. We'll post more details when we know more. In the meantime, keep saving those returnables! Thank you!
