CENTER MIDDLE SCHOOL

Preparing the leaders of tomorrow.

From the principal:

It is hard to believe that we have finished up the 2nd 9 weeks and the holidays are already upon us. Throughout this semester, our staff has been diligently working with the students preparing them not only to be equipped academically, but socially and emotionally as well. Without taking the child as a whole and their needs into account, we would not be able to lead them to reach their full potential. As we enter this much deserved time off for staff and students during the holiday season, I hope it brings you peace and joy. Cherish each moment with your children and families as time slows for no one. As much as I love the holidays and the time I get to spend with my family, I am already looking forward to spending time with the children in 2023. The possibilities of their accomplishments are endless and I feel privileged to be one of many that gets to walk with them to watch and help them achieve and excel.

PINK OUT DANCE 2022!!!

Center Middle School's Junior Chamber of Commence held a Pink Out Dance in October to raise money to help local families or individuals who have been diagnosed with cancer. They were able to make a donation in the amount of $1740.00 to Boo's Battle Support Fund, a local non-profit based in Shelby County that provides financial support to those battling cancer.

So great to see our students working towards helping others!

Great things happening at CMS!!!!

As usual, there are great things happening at CMS! Along with the Pink Out Dance that was held to help others, we have had our stellar One Act Play practicing and competing against other schools. The time and effort these students and their sponsors have out in is second to none. We have also gotten deep into basketball season with the boys and girls teams continuing to improve their skill in preparation of one day competing at the high school level. Our band students are working diligently and were able to show the results of this at the Christmas concert that was help on December 15th. These students, directors, sponsors, and coaches are very busy with everything that is going on all the while maintaining the highest level in the classroom. Keep up the good work!
We had 2 weeks of theme days in preparation of the holidays. Many students and staff dressed up on a daily basis. The students love when the staff participates alongside them. These pictures represent the administrative staff having fun and bringing smiles to the students.

PARENT INVOLVEMENT

Parent involvement in a student's academic endeavors is very important to their success. Here at Center Middle School, along with Center ISD, we encourage parents to work alongside the school as partners in educating their child. Attached re the links to the School-Parent Compact and the Parent Involvement Policy so you may better familiarize yourself in ways you can help. As always, if you have any questions about how to become more involved, we encourage you to reach out to the principal, Marcus Camp, to help guide you in the right direction.
