North Middle School International Baccalaureate (IB) Information Night
Elementary Parents and Guardians,
Millard Public Schools prides itself on being a district of choice, providing a variety of opportunities and specialized programs that allow parents and guardians to choose the best path for their students. One of these programs is the highly-acclaimed International Baccalaureate Program, currently offered at Aldrich Elementary School, Black Elk Elementary School, Millard North Middle School, and Millard North High School.
The International Baccalaureate (IB) Program is a method of instruction focused on inquiry, the development of critical thinking skills, reflection, and the application of knowledge. IB encourages students to make practical connections between their studies and the real world, preparing them for college and life beyond school.
As you begin to think about your student's transition to middle school, we would like to invite you to Millard North Middle School's International Baccalaureate -Middle Years Program Parent Information Night. The annual information night is Thursday, January 16th from 7-8 pm at Millard North Middle School. Please join us to find out more about the IB Program and Millard North Middle. For more information about IB information night, click here.
Before and After School
I just wanted to send out a quick reminder that there is no adult supervision outside before 8:00am. Also, there is no adult supervision at either playground after dismissal.
We ask that students not be dropped off before 8:00am, unless they are involved in a school activity. We also ask the students go home right after school to check in with parents.
We have a couple of reports about Rockwell students not making the best decisions while at the playgrounds after school.
Thank you for your help.

It's Not Too Late
WATCH D.O.G.S. is one of the nation’s largest and most respected school-based, family, and community engagement, organizations in the country. Since the program’s creation in 1998, more than 6,450 schools across the country have launched a WATCH D.O.G.S. program of their own. Each school year hundreds of thousands of fathers and father-figures make a positive impact on millions of children by volunteering millions of hours in their local schools through this amazing one-of-a-kind program, and the students love seeing a WATCH D.O.G walking around the building.
If you are interested, please contact Cathy Carnazzo, cicarnazzo@mpsomaha.org
