Students Display Their Art Work

Friday, May 29 was great day for Slackwood Artists. The art show was a huge success as Ms. Lee-You had the halls and school filled with student art. Paintings, creations, and even gargoyles made of clay showed the talents of the artists of Slackwood. Parents, staff and students had the opportunity to enjoy the show and see some amazing work. Ms. Lee-You and her docents were available to give tours and run the show.

Mrs. Valentino's Class plays Mystery Skype

What is Mystery Skype?

Mystery Skype is an educational game, invented by teachers , played by two classrooms on Skype. The aim of the game is to guess the location of the other classroom by asking each other questions. Student use questioning and resources to try to figure out where the other classroom is located.

Mrs. Valentino's class has been connecting with classrooms from all over the country this year and this is just another opportunity to learn globally.

The Wheels Return

In honor of our art show, Ms. Lee-You and the students spent time this week re-creating the wheel project. This project has students decorate wheels of any kind with all kinds of left over materials. It is an eco-friendly creation that uses recycled materials.
