No Excuses: Going the Extra Mile!
Aycock Middle School stands firm on the belief of personalized learning. We must remember with personalized learning comes personal responsibility. This is a virtue to instill in our future leaders. Here's a few tips:
- Students are to keep chargers at home.
- Students are to charge their tablet every night.
- Ask your child to show your their class grades with the PowerSchool app on their tablet. (Great way to check their progress and be proactive.)
GCS Debuts App to Help Parents, Educators Connect
Parents need school supplies too, and the new Guilford County Schools app gives parents the tools they need to help their child succeed, all in one place. The app lets parents access their child's grades, school menus, upcoming events and other information, and it's available free.
The new app, which can be found by searching for “Guilford County Schools” through Google Play or the App Store, is just one more way parents can stay up to date with news from their child's school. Users can select which schools they wish to follow, subscribe to news and social media alerts, pay for meals, add events to their mobile calendars and even follow their favorite high school sports teams, all in one place. They can also access a staff directory and download eBooks through the district's eBook shelf.
