Perseverance is trying to achieve a goal even when you encounter many adversities. Perseverance is also having enough patience and determination to help you reach your goal.
Winston Churchill : Cause and Effect
In 1895, Winston Churchill went to Cuba and India to watch different troops fight a war. He went as a war correspondence for London's Daily Graphic. As a result, Churchill wrote his first book called The Story of Malakand Field Force (1898). Churchill also wrote another book called The River War (1899). After that Churchill was shot and held prisoner for a month. He escaped and returned to safety. Lastly Churchill wrote a book about his overwhelming experiences as a prisoner.

Jackie Robinson always wanted to be a baseball player but he didn't know how hard it would be to become the first black baseball player to play in the major leagues. First he had to tolerate abuse, rejection, and name calling. Next he had to not fight back when people did bad things to him. Then he had to be determined to gain acceptance from his teammates and competitors. Also he had prove his ability as a player and as a teammate. Lastly he had to work harder than all the other players because he was black

Dartanyon : Desciption
Dartanyon was a man who was legally blind. Even though he couldn't see, Dartanyon managed to win a bronze medal in the 2012 Olympics for Judo. Dartanyon worked hard and practiced a lot. He had conviction toward his goal. His best friends Lisa and Leroy flew from Ohio to London to watch him in the Olympics. Dartanyon’s goal was to win a medal and he achieved his goal through hardwork, determination, and perseverance.

Conclusion
We can learn a lot from from the perseverance of others in order to face adversities in today's world. The perseverance of others can encourage you to also persevere. When other people face their problems head on it shows us that it is not impossible to achieve our goals. That is what we can learn from the perseverance of others to overcome adversity in today's world.
