AMS Counselors' Corner
JANUARY UPDATE
January Character Value
During our character advisory this month, students were encouraged to think about goals that they have set for themselves this school year or would like to start working towards now. They were given a yearly goal worksheet to help them create a plan of action for achieving these goals.
Your role this month could be to discuss with your student what goals he/she would like to set for him/herself and how you can help him/her achieve his/her goals. You could encourage your student by helping him/her stay accountable to his/her goal worksheet. Could you set a positive example for your student by completing the goal worksheet for one of your personal or family goals, and helping your student see the steps you take to complete the goal? The yearly goal worksheet is provided below.
