The Beatles

The Beatles consisted of 4 people. Their names were George Harrison, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, and Ringo Starr.
George Harrison was born 1943, John Lennon was born 1940, Paul McCartney was born 1942, and Ringo Starr was born 1940. Paul McCartney is now 73 and Ringo Starr is now 75. George died of cancer in 2001 and John was shot to death in 1980.
George played lead guitar, John played rhythm guitar, Paul played bass, and Ringo played drums. John and Paul did most of the singing and songwriting.
Paul joined John in 1957. George joined Paul and John in 1958. Ringo joined them in 1962.
Before they all were in The Beatles, John and five other musicians were in a band named after their high school that they attended. Later on Paul, George, and Ringo eventually joined the group. 2 years before Ringo joined them they finally called themselves The Beatles.
