Don't Forget to Watch the Blood Red Moon/Lunar Eclipse Tonight Between 8-10!!!
The moon may turn red or coppery colored during the total portion of an eclipse. The red moon is possible because while the moon is in total shadow, some light from the sun passes through Earth's atmosphere and is bent toward the moon. While other colors in the spectrum are blocked and scattered by Earth’s atmosphere, red light tends to make it through easier. The effect is to cast all the planet's sunrises and sunsets on the moon. Wow!!!! So cool! Hope you get to see it!

If you have concerns regarding math, please contact Mrs. Hitchcock and she will be glad to visit with you via phone, email or before/after school.
Math Wings
If your child is in running club, they may skip this Thursday and join us next week.
Please feel free to send in an after school snack with your child to eat during our Math Wings time.

Spelling-List 6-Post Test on Friday
I think I am going to try something new this week. Instead of breaking spelling up into two days, I am going to give both the post test and pretest on the computer on Fridays. This way we can go to the lab all at once and knock spelling out in less time.
I will let you know if this will continue or if it was a flop. :)
