Social Studies - Teresa Groene
As a final project, students are creating a poster to illustrate the prompt, “In America, people____.” Statements may say things like:
Are Open minded thinkers
Stand up to adversity and become stronger
Are prepared to fight for what’s important
Question the way things are and make things better.
Love and accept diversity
They have shown some great thinking and incorporated examples from the history we learned. This project will be due Tuesday.
Finally, thank you for a great year. You should be proud of your kids--they have grown so much! And thank you for all your help with things like field trips, classroom supplies, and especially for all the kindness and support I’ve gotten from you this year. Please let me know if you have questions as we finish up the year.
ELA - Jarrod Jones
Thank you for your support throughout this school year—it has been a pleasure working with your students!
With just one week remaining, we’ll be wrapping up the year by watching The Hunger Games movie as a conclusion to our Dystopian Unit. The film is rated PG-13. While most students are 13, a few are not. If you prefer that your student not watch the movie, please contact me via email or ParentSquare. I will provide an alternate activity for them.
Wishing you and your family a wonderful summer!
